"Its unprofessional for a nurse in hospice to cry over the death of a patient"
So today in NU 102 we were talking about hospice care and actively dying patients. The teacher said its fine to encourage family members to talk to their dying loved ones, and its okay to tell them “they can let go now”
AND THEN THIS SHIT POPPED INTO MY HEAD
Don’t let me become a nurse
In all seriousness though: I started to wonder if my family was talking like this to my mother and it started to make me feel upset. I think this was just a coping mechanism.
